We designed this range of bone china mugs after a trip to Tokyo. It was difficult not to be inspired by the beautiful design aesthetic out there - both traditional and contemporary. The influence of the Far East has come through loud and strong. We named this range Ikebana, which is the Japanese art of flower arranging.
The quality is excellent, just as you would expect from, bone china made in England.

"How can we get the message across that we still make bone china in England?"
That was the inspiration behind our new range of bone china. When the majority of manufacture is now overseas we thought we should celebrate our British made products.
This design was inspired by the beautiful vintage pottery backstamps which are usually tucked away on the pottery base. We loved the idea of bringing the backstamps out from the dark and giving it pride of place on the front of our mug.
This design uses the classic Gill Sans font designed by Eric Gill in 1927 for the London & N.E. Railways.
This large bone china mug holds just under 3/4 of a pint.
The Mid-Century Scandinavian influence has come through loud and strong in our Frida Range. Skål!
